The exhibition design celebrates clay as a humble yet iconic and highly valued material. It draws upon the materiality of local clay deposits, domestic brick usage as well as the industrial buildings in the area, alluding to mass and gravity, utility and tactility, and highlighting Australia’s broad history with clay.
