PERISCOPE TABLE
2014

The periscope allows us to see beyond objects or conditions that would otherwise obstruct our direct line of sight. The design of this coffee table playfully integrates the idea of theperiscope: mirrors are angled to reflect what lies on one side of the table to the other, revealing an unexpected image, a subtle alteration of perception. Angled planes of bright colour alternate between mirrored surfaces, creating a pattern of reflections and depth. The elevated table sits on thin steel legs - all slightly off-centre, like a strange creature sauntering jauntily across the room.
