Aileen Sage Architects were responsible for the design of the community use podium building, located at the center of the Waterloo Metro Development. A childcare center, the planning and façade references the idea of a possum skin cloak as a protective layer embedded with cultural knowledge and stories. In this way, the design of the building has been developed through the translation of the stories and knowledge shared through the design process.
