Seberry Beach House
2017 – 2019
A new house located a few blocks from the beach on the South Coast. Living areas and bedrooms are wrapped around a central courtyard, elevated from the garden. The elevation allows for cooling sea breezes and glimpses of the ocean from all rooms of the principal address with a secondary dwelling tucked beneath. The form of the house and large roof is typical of the suburban coastal setting and references the historic lighthouse keepers cottage on nearby Montague Island.
A playfully tiled roof deck is carved out of the exaggerated roof form, capturing ocean views beyond.
